Diasporic Loops (DiaL) x SEA sạ calls upon artists, scholars and curators for a convening, *ĐiaL 5–5–5.
DiaL is a small translocal network conceived by artist susan pui san lok, which has been meeting to develop individual and collaborative creative and research projects that amplify histories of Chinese migration and diaspora across time and space. A recurring theme in these discussions is how we—artists, curators, writers, academics—might circle, conceptualise, counter and contend with departures, impasses, disappearances and returns. These convenings are supported by the Robert H. N. Ho Family Foundation’s Global Arts and Chinese Heritage Initiative.
Introduced by Daisy Nam, Zlot Family Director & Chief Curator, CCA Wattis Institute, susan pui san lok and Việt Lê (DiaL), the event at the Wattis will see 5 speakers presenting for 5 minutes followed by conversation with the DiaL network and the audience.
